You’ve probably watched as your student’s self-esteem peaks and
dips based on the experiences they have in the classroom, in their social circles, at home, and just about everywhere else they go. How they do in class, what their friends tell them, and their family all impact their feelings of well being. In this unit contains a series of activitities that help kids find their strengths and abilities and promote the development of confidence in who they are and what they bring to their world.
The objectives are simple, learn the following
activities, which are available on this site and are designed to help promote
self-esteem in fun and thoughtful ways and then implement them "as is" or with variations on a reqular basis with your students:
- Anti-Gravity
- First Impressions
- Group Jump Rope
- Hands are Tied
- Magic Maze
- Mountain Rescue
- One Way
- Speed
However, if you are participating in the professional development component of this program as well, you will need to complete the EDUCATOR ASSESSMENT ACTIVITY for this module to demonstrate your own understanding and successful implementation of the ESTEEM unit.
