Don't Forget to Br...GRABBERS - Attention Grabbers
Overview
Learning simply
cannot occur if your class is not focused and
attentive. Capturing the
attention of a classroom can be a challenge for both beginning and seasoned
teachers. Over time, you’ll undoubtedly develop and adopt your own techniques
for focusing student attention and preparing to kick off any lesson,
discussion, or activity. These techniques are an invaluable part of any
teacher’s toolkit.
Prerequisites
The only prerquisites for Attention Grabbers is the desire to actively direct your students attention and focus on the day's activities. Get ready for fun, fast ways to re-focus the group.
Objectives
The objectives are simple, learn to successfully implement the following activities, which are available on this site and are designed to grab the attention of your participating kids:

How to Take this Unit
As the instructional leader, you are in a position to review, learn, and use the activities found within this module with the kids in your program.

Course Duration
Each of the activities found within this unit can take between 5 to 20 minutes as they are simply designed to redirect focus and energy and move kids back into a place to learn and participate.
