Overview

With a simple toss in the air, the Color Wheel of Fate decides which of four mini-activities your group will play. Color Wheel of Fate is a great fast-paced, flexible icebreaker that generates enthusiasm and offers a variety of ways for a group to interact.

In the following course you will learn how to properly set-up and facilitate the activity and then if you wish, move students through an academic and/or social skills development reflection experience.

*This activity has been adapted from the Ice Breakers & Openers CD-ROM of The Inspire! Youth Series from LearningChange, LLC.

With younger children you will want to make the mini-activities easier, have solo activities (such as, do one jumping jack or touch your toes) and be sure to tell them exactly what activity they must do with each color each time you switch. Younger children will need more coaching but otherwise the actvity works just as well!
